Applications open for the NEMO Leadership Program

HANNIBAL (WGEM) – Leadership Northeast Missouri, a regional leadership institute that consists of six learning and networking sessions spread across NEMO, has opened applications for 2022, according to Hannibal Regional Economic Development Council President Corey Mehaffy.

“It’s designed to educate people about the strengths we have in northeast Missouri,” Mehaffy said.

Mehaffy also said it gave people across the region an opportunity to network.

“A lot of these people, you know, once they’ve been together in this class, they will continue to communicate with each other. So, you know, it helps with partnerships and that kind of stuff,” Mehaffy said.

The schedule of events for 2022 is as follows:

  • April 28-April 29: Launch Retreat, Kirksville
  • May 24: Workforce, Edina, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • June 23: Broadband/Ag Technology, Macon, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • August 4: Transportation, Canton, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Sept. 15: Healthcare, Hannibal, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • October 13: Navigating Government Systems, Madison, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Tuition is $350. Course materials, graduation gift, meals and refreshments are included. Transportation and accommodation are not.

Application process:

Applications are due March 1, 2022. A selection committee will review applications. Notification of selection will be made by email no later than March 15, 2022. Full payment is due no later than April 15, 2022. No refunds will be made after the due date.
